The Canadian Air and Space Museum, home of the Lancaster FM104 restoration is a non-profit organization. The museum and especially our FM104 restoration team rely on the generosity of museum members, private individuals and corporate sponsors in order to carry on our work. Unique historic collectible is cut from the wing spar of Lancaster FM118. 
After the war, FM118 was shipped to Canadian Forces Base Shilo where it was used as a target on a machine gunnery range for several years. Our Lancaster FM104 was missing an 8 foot section of the floor which was cut away when it was placed on the plynth in 1964 and 118 had, amongst many other much needed bits and pieces that same section of floor. We were fortunate to have the funds to purchase the forward section of FM118 and have stripped it of all usable parts.
